The name Younger Self Counseling is not incidental. It is my whole philosophy. Somewhere inside each of us live younger versions of ourselves. Parts of us who were shaped by anxiety, trauma, shame, or years of trying to hold everything together.
Those parts are still with you.
Sometimes they show up as anxiety, people-pleasing, shame, or a feeling that something inside you never quite got the care it needed.
Therapy can be the space to begin tending to those places.
Not to fix you.
Not to finish you.
But to help you understand yourself more deeply, feel more freely, and keep becoming who you already are.

I grew up learning to hide.
To stay quiet. To be pleasing, high achieving, acceptable in an effort to belong.
I became very good at shape shifting. At denying my own differences.
At chasing everything except what my heart most wanted.
The rooms of recovery gave me a place to exhale for the first time.
To reflect. To slowly start asking for what I needed.
I became a lifelong student of this work and I created a life that began to feel like home, one step at a time.
Discovering Internal Family Systems changed everything.
I've been in regular contact with my parts ever since and,
with the help of those who've walked longer on this path than I have,
I've found places to cry, heal, and celebrate.
That's the work I bring into the room with you.
Not just training. Not just technique.
But a genuine knowing of what it means to keep coming back to yourself.
Imperfectly. Courageously. With hope that more is possible.
That's why I built Younger Self Counseling.

Accepting new clients — virtual and in-person
I help people care for the younger parts of themselves
that are still waiting to be understood.
Do you feel like you are "doing fine" but yearn to be doing better?
Have you been in therapy before and something still feels unfinished?
Do you keep returning to the same patterns
and want that to change?
Are you in the rooms of recovery and ready to go deeper?
Do you have a sense that your younger self has something to say
and you're ready to listen?
You don't need to have it all figured out.
You don't need to be in crisis.
You just need to be willing to get slow down, lean in, and attend to the parts of you that have been patiently waiting
for this kind of care.
Currently accepting new clients.
Virtual and in-person sessions available.
